SUCCESS!!!

Its taken me a little while to post, but I'm happy to report that Guns and Roses have found a home. Actually, it sounds like they're living large. This is the kitty-equivalent of moving to a condo on Miami Beach. I'll let my sister tell the story:

Guns and Roses are retiring in style, to say the least. Their new home is an office/show room above a furniture and interior design store in High Falls, NY. Larry, or Uncle Larry as Guns and Roses call him, used to live above his store but recently moved to a farm house taking his current pets with him. He has been rescuing animals for years, and he wanted new pets for his new office. His only requirement for taking Guns and Roses was that they are de-clawed - the fact that they are warm, friendly, beautiful cats with wonderful dispositions is just a bonus. Within five minutes of checking out their new home, Guns and Roses were having a love fest with Uncle Larry, letting him pet them and settling onto the sofa side by side, as they do. Between the constant love and affection, custom built litter box, bottled water, and cat nip in every room, I think it's safe to say that they are going to be happy old ladies after all.

Thanks to everyone who's printed and posted flyers, emailed offers of help and support, and helped the cats and the family through this rough time. And most especially, thanks to Uncle Larry for taking the girls in and giving them a good home.

At the Ballgame PLUS: NEW FLYER

Word has slowly been spreading--sometimes in the strangest places. Myself, the Fiance, my Sister, and The Sister's Friend all went to a Yankee game last wk, with SAVE G'n'R flyers in hand (naturally). After a few innings the guy sitting on my right tapped me on the shoulder.

"Excuse me," he said, "I couldn't help noticing those flyers in your bag. What is 'Save Guns and Roses'?"

I explained the situation, and even though he and his lady live in Delaware, they offered to post some flyers where they were staying in NJ. Perhaps G'n'R will end up in the Garden State?

Moral of the story: KEEP SPREADING THE WORD!!! These kitties need a home.

ALSO: some people have commented that the picture of the cats on the flyer makes it look as if "their heads are cut off and pasted on another animals body" which is a kind of funny notion. But anyway, here's another flyer, just for variety's sake. PLEASE print up a few and post them around. Guns'n'Roses thank you!

Save our cats!

TWO GORGEOUS CATS…

… NEED A NEW HOME

Two 16-year old cats named Guns & Roses need a new home. They are spayed, de-clawed, in good health, and have friendly, kind dispositions. These sisters are littermates and have lived together their whole lives. There's a new (non-feline) addition to our home, and she's allergic to the cats. If they go to a shelter they will be put to sleep. Please help us find a home for our cats!

If these lovable, low maintenance pets would be a warm and welcome addition to your home, please email savegunsandroses@gmail.com
